Lentswe Bhengu, a talented chef and beloved personality, passed away on February 28th, 2023, at the age of 36.

Lentswe's passion for food was evident from a young age, and he pursued a career in investment banking before realizing his true calling as a chef. He attended The Culinary Academy in the Cape Winelands and worked at some of the finest restaurants in South Africa, including The Savoy Cabbage, The Roundhouse Restaurant, and Saucisse Deli.

Lentswe's love for food extended beyond the kitchen, and he became a well-known figure in the South African food scene. He appeared on a number of food-themed shows, including South Africa's first food web series, Africa on a Plate, and the local television cooking show Kasi Kitchen. He was also a regular guest chef on SABC3's Expresso and hosted the second season of The Great South African Bake Off.

Lentswe's passion for food and dedication to his craft made him a beloved figure in the industry. He inspired many with his innovative approach to cooking and his commitment to showcasing African cuisine.
