Bongani Njoli (53) was a son, father, uncle, and brother who was generous and kind. The radio broadcaster, DJ and voice-over artist, fondly known by his friends and fans as Bongs died in the morning of Sunday 22 January 2022 at Somerset hospital in Cape Town following a short illness.

The 53-year-old from Langa in Cape Town enjoyed brief stints at radio stations including UCT Radio, GoodhopeFM, Heart 104.9fm and Magic 828 AM. But he was most well-known for being the voice of e. tv's promotions. Who can forget that famous voice saying: “Tonight on e”, “Friday action night”, among other lines?
