It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nomasonto Maswanganyi, known to the world as Mshoza. Mshoza was a beloved South African musician, motivational speaker, and dancer who captured the hearts of many with her music and inspiring words.

Mshoza was born on January 7th, 1983, at the Meadowlands Clinic in Johannesburg. She spent her early years living with her grandparents in Protea North, where she attended Khuthala Protea North and Rebone Naledi Ext 2 for her primary education. She completed her high school education at Reasoma Protea North and P.Q Mvundla Rockville.

Her music career began at the young age of ten when she played the role of Sarafina in a school play. In 1995-1996, she became a lead singer in a choir and was a dancer for Chiskop in 1998-1999. Her talent caught the attention of many, and in mid-1999, she went to Jam Alley, where she freestyled as a contestant over Chiskop's instrumental (Abasazi).

At the age of fifteen, Mshoza was signed as an artist, and she quickly rose to fame. Her hit songs, including "Mshoza Abantu Bam," gained her popularity and made her a household name. She was known for her unique style and powerful voice, which she used to inspire and motivate many people across the world.

Despite her success, Mshoza remained humble and continued to give back to her community. She was passionate about empowering young people and often spoke at schools and events, encouraging others to pursue their dreams.

Mshoza will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and fans. Her music and legacy will live on forever. May she rest in peace.
